We're looking for software engineers to:
- provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
- design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
- analyze business requirements
- collaborate with team members, software architects, and 3rd party providers to drive delivery
- providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
- conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
- see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production
Your team
You'll be working in the Wealth Management Investing delivery team, as part of the Technology division in Zürich. We provide digital banking solutions for clients and client advisors. This benefits our UBS Wealth Management and Personal & Corporate banking businesses.
Your expertise
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with excellent understanding of modern web application development
- solid experience in developing full stack application with Java Backend (JAVA 1.8/11 and beyond)
- good knowhow of frontend technologies such as Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, some exposure to event driven architecture (e.g. Kafka) and cloud technology (preferably Azure)
- some devOps experience preferred - versioning tools such as Git, GitLab, build and deployment pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible playbooks
- inquisitive personality with the ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to all audiences as well as the confidence to challenge effectively
- strong understanding and experience in agile delivery methodologies and solution delivery lifecycle
- highly committed self-reliant contributor with a positive attitude, high ambitions and an interest in the future Finance Technology
- experience with building data sensitive , financial instruments, market data applications is a plus
