Job details
You will be part of our product development team that is responsible for developing, releasing, monitoring and troubleshooting our large-scale microservice-based IoT platform. You enjoy learning new things and are passionate about developing data-intensive applications. You will be implementing new features, maintaining existing code, fixing bugs, and contributing to overall system design. You are thriving to make a change in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Your responsibilities
- Help ensure that our IoT platform scales to large amounts of data and runs securely and reliably
- Implement new features and maintain existing code with focus on scalability, stability and security
- Design, develop, release and troubleshoot state of the art microservices in a distributed team
- Work closely with both Engineering Lead and Product Owner to understand the problems we want to solve and exploring how we can best solve them
Your profile
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- A minimum of two years experience in backend development
- Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (preferably Java)
- Experience with stream processing architectures and data-intensive applications (e.g. Kafka)
- Good understanding of microservice patterns
- Passionate about implementing software engineering best practices and processes
- Solid knowledge of testing principles
- Troubleshooting and creative problem-solving attitude
- Take ownership and act independently in solving problems
- Enjoy daily communication and interaction with customers and colleagues in both English and German
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Experience building and developing distributed systems and/or experience with compute and data storage technologies
- Experience with IoT technologies (such as LoRaWAN, Nb-IoT, MQTT, or LWM2M)
- Experience in reactive programming (e.g. Java Reactor)
- In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD
- Experience with systems for automating deployment and management of containerized applications like Kubernetes
