Job Description
DPhi Space is a Swiss startup on a mission to simplify and reduce the cost of access to space through shared platforms for hosted software and hardware payloads. Our goal is a future where space infrastructure is readily available, allowing hardware and software developpers to focus solely on what they do best, free from the complexities of satellite systems. For this, we launched our first ridesharing mission in March 2025. Today, we are awaiting the rocket launch of its 2nd mission early next year. This mission focuses on enhanced computational capabilities enabling the cloud in space. As we expand our hosted payload capabilities, we are looking to grow our engineering team to support upcoming missions.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be an integrated part of our startup team of 8 engineers where you will closely work with our three software engineers. Your main responsibilities are
- Define, design, and implement an user-facing dashboard for satellite payload operations based on a proof of concept. This includes defining the architecture and partially choosing the software stack to be used.
- Build a backend that automates our workflow of deploying customer code on our satellites through 3rd party satellite and ground station APIs.
- Implement and deploy a front-end that intereacts with the backend.
- Further improve the dashboard based on customer and business feedback
Based on your skills and interestests, you can take on responsibilities in other areas of our developments. This includes the deployment of cloud software stacks on our satellites, orchestration, cyber security, as well as automated testing and validation infrastructure for satellite hardware.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
We are looking for a problem-solver with a passion for IT infrastructure and space technologies. Your
ability to work in a team and adapt to new challenges will be key.
- Motivation to work in a team - Degree (HES or university) in computer science or similar or extensive experience
- 3+ years of Experience in full-stack software development including development on front and backend.
- Track record in fast delivery of prototypes and products
- Fast learner
- Languages Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.
